GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

 

NOTE: Entry Fees for all Competitors. Upon receipt of the appropriate entry fees, entry/release forms and stamped self addressed envelope, confirmation will be mailed to each competitor and band.

1. Entries must be received by two weeks prior to games.

2. Entries will not be accepted on day of games.

3. Individual Competitors may enter only one Grade or Class.

4. All Competitors will wear Highland Dress in order to compete.

5. Any Competitors not ready to perform when number is called will be disqualified by the Steward for that event.

6. Decisions by Judges on performance are final.

7. No medals will be worn during Competition.

8. The Sarasota Highland Games Committee reserves the right to add or remove Events from the schedule and to make other changes as long as its action is within the scope of the SOBHD and the SUSPBA and is in its judgment in the best interest of conducting the Games.

9. Competitors will remain in Uniform until all medals and trophies have been awarded.

10. Pipe Band, Solo Piping and Drumming Competitions are sanctioned and monitored by the SUSPBA. All Competitors must be SUSPBA members OR hold current membership with an association that has reciprocity with the SUSPBA.

11. Any ties which develop for trophy awards will be broken in a manner to be decided by Games Officials, including, if necessary, a coin toss.
